Rigidized® Metals Corporation Provides Aesthetics, Durability and Enhanced Light Reflection at Raleigh’s Daily Planet

Rigidized® Metals’ InvariMatte® micro texture was used in the creation of the globe outside of the Raleigh’s Daily Planet in Raleigh, NC. Each panel is uniquely curved to build a sphere. The land masses are shown in the form of a vinyl appliqué applied to the InvariMatte® sphere. The micro textured surfaces provides a perfect projection screen for the absorption of color from LED lighting. In addition to durability, natural cleanability, and low maintenance costs, while also reducing glare from the sun, the nondirectional surface also promotes a uniform appearance of panels that require juxtaposed grain directions.
