Rigidized® Metals Corporation Enhances Durability on Column Covers at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.

Rigidized® Metals’ InvariTone micro texture clads the column covers in the lobby of the CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Shive-Hattery Architecture + Engineering out of Chicago, IL, designed the new entrance to the medical center, specifying InvariTone stainless steel for the interior columns for durability reasons, and because it did not show fingerprints quite as easily as other materials. With having InvariTone in stock, and Metal Design Systems, Inc. having the capability to Exact+Site scan the columns for field measuring, they were able to order material and fabricate these columns in a timeframe that met the requirements of the facility owner. The result of this installation is a series of very clean and durable columns that stand out when you enter into this Hospital and Medical Center.
